We recently cleaned and refinished one of our Cedar Pavilions, built about 10 years ago out here at the Arbor Gate in Tomball, Texas. This is a Two-Tier Outdoor Structure consisting of a Clay tile roof, Cedar Posts and Beams, a Cedar Tongue and Groove decking.

This was the first maintenance performed on this particular structure and we completely brought it back to life. Using Western Red Cedar with a non permeable roof covering can give you a lasting structure that is able to be maintained over time. The process is simple; We use an outdoor cleaner applied to the entire structure, followed by a low pressure rinse. Know that high pressure washing can damage the wood fibers, so take caution when rinsing. Allow to dry for a couple of days, spot sand with a palm sander and brush in your choice of an outdoor sealer/stain.
